Being a cabin crew isn't that bad la

SINGAPORE: The number of people applying for cabin crew positions at Singapore Airlines (SIA) has gone up by three to four times, compared to levels before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which began in early 2020.
Responding to CNA queries, SIA said on Monday (May 30) that it aims to recruit around 2,000 cabin crew members this financial year, with more than 800 applicants selected so far since the airline restarted its recruitment drives in March.
About 60 per cent of those selected are returning crew, the airline added.

BT: Above taken from CNA report on 30 May 2022 ...read here if you like.
What I like to emphasize is :
  • the number of people applying for the cc job has gone by three to four times and
  • 60% of those selected are returning crew
If the cc job is so bad as claimed numerous times by some sceptics here then why the above? If the cc job is that bad surely the number of applicants will decline and those who had left won't want to return to be cc.. right?
Another strange phenomena is how come the current cc (I am sure many visit this blog and read about the cons of being cc and yet stay dumb)??
It looks like I am the only one defending the pros of being or becoming cc.
